Host a Norwex Show in March + 10 Tips for a Great Norwex Party

There are a few easy things you can do to have a better than average Norwex party. I’ve learned a few things over the last 7 years and I’m happy to share them with you so that you can have the best outcome possible for you, your guests and the Norwex Consultant who is doing your show for you.

  • Invite an uncomfortable amount of people. That’s right. If the number doesn’t make you feel a little nervous, it’s not enough. Why? Because only about 25% of those who get asked will show up. You are already possibly thinking, I don’t even have enough people to invite to get to the point of being nervous! Yes, actually you do. Who shows up to Norwex parties? (Online or in your house) Usually it’s people you haven’t seen in a long time. It’s typically people who have ears that perked up when they heard about cleaning easier. Sometimes it’s the people you’ve never had over and least expect; your hair stylist, a neighbor you are just getting to know, church friends, Moms from the school your kids go to, your friend from a job ten years back. Think big and wide and make a list. You know more people to invite than you think you do!
  • Send those invites in the MOST personal way possible. A Facebook Event is not personal. Facebook Messages along with the Facebook Event is more personal. Texts are sort of personal. Phone calls are so personal that some people might be shocked/creeped out but I am telling you, they will know you mean it when you dial an actual phone number and the green button.
  • Hold your party date and stick to it. You might be temped to bail out when the RSVPs aren’t flowing in. Breathe my friend. Humans have gotten really bad about the RSVP and while it make make you crabby and worried, just stick with it and….
  • Follow up like a Bride trying to get her final wedding numbers count for the dinner and reception. I am so serious. People will respond when you reach out with a personal message. Say this, “Hey____! I’d love to hang out with you tomorrow night and hope you are coming to my Norwex night. Will I get to see your pretty face? Let me know?” Reason being, we get invited to so.many.things. and when we feel wanted, we are way more likely to show up.
  • Invite your guests to bring a friend. Some of the most enthusiastic Norwex party guests I have had over the year were party-crashers, tag-along attendees that were not on the original guest list. Your guests will not bring along a Mom, sister, or best friend unless you suggest it. The more the merrier.
  • Be excited. No, really. BE INTO IT. Cleaning parties sound like one of the lamest ideas ever. Some friends will think this in their head and some will even tell their husband, “I drive a mini van, now I am getting invited to cleaning parties? When did my life become so….pathetic?” Your friends have to comprehend that a Norwex Party with Amanda as the Consultant is going to blow their mind, they will laugh and they will be so glad they skipped The Voice to come to your house.
  • Keep your food and drink simple. I cannot stress this enough. I could cry when I think about all the untouched and wasted food after the guests have left and I am packing up. It’s crazy. Women want a glass of wine and a tiny plate. You can go to Aldi and get a wedge or two of cheese, their prosciutto, a package of berries, and a container of their Sea Salt Caramels and a container of almonds. Put all of these things on a wood cutting board or in little bowls and you are done. Quit stressing about the food because people are not coming for Thanksgiving Dinner.
  • Tell your out of town friends (and guests who can’t come) what you love about Norwex and which products you are crazy for. Send them your shopping link and tell them they need to get on the Norwex Train. They will buy what you suggest, so lead them to the Household Package if they are on a budget and the Safe Haven 5 if they have 100 dollars to invest in their health and home.
  • Get a booking! Work with your consultant to get someone you know to host their own show. This is key my friend. The Norwex hostess plan is crazy good, but it’s AMAZING when you have a show booked off of yours. This gives you more free product, you encourage a whole new circle of people to become Norwex homes, and your consultant continues to build a healthy business. Wins all around.
  • Become a Norwex Consultant and not just a Norwex Hostess. Join our movement. Nearly every consultant was once a hostess! You love the product, you know about the basics, and we need more people to help us teach others about these products.
