Thankful for a sport we can all enjoy together, big thanks to Grandma Cindy for joining high school ski club back in the 70’s, without her willingness to try something new, we probably wouldn’t be here today. 💝

For many years I have booked a solo room stay at work conferences. I love people, maybe too much sometimes. It took my mid 30’s to recognize that I need a hefty amount of silence and alone time in order to re-enter the world with an open heart and positive attitude. I need more than average and it doesn’t make me faulty. Parenthood has been my favorite role but it’s not super generous on the “alone time” concept. I’ve struggled with Mom guilt like many before and after me, but this week when one of my daughters was aware I would be at a work conference that would lead right to a family vacation, her message to me was encouraging: “Mom, get your own room.”
Basically…Take care of yourself.
I’ve taught her this by modeling it regularly.
It takes a lot of bravery and consistent practice to figure out what YOU need, not what the world needs from you.

Everyone made it.
All bodies were healthy.
Everyone was kind,
generous, good natured and grateful.
I’ve hit the magic age where I notice the significance of the little miracles we are granted.
Today it’s quiet and I always get a little blue, I’m sentimental like that

Parenting = so much laundry, for yearssssss.
One of my tips for everyone who wears clothing is to upgrade your laundry baskets. I had the cheap plastic ones for years and while they are functional, they are ugly. And if you are like me and your laundry often lives in a basket while your family just walks on by it like Dionne Warwick, you may as well have it looking a little cuter.
