What do you do for a living?

I’ve often struggled to explain what I do for a living. How do I verbalize how I went from babysitting for extra cash to help pay the bills to earning 6++ figures and leading a multi-million dollar sales team?

I sell. I roll my eyes when people say they “share” for a living. Please. You don’t go to Target and say “hey Imma just gonna take these throw pillows and gel pens, you can “share” these with me right?” Buy-sell. No shame in sales ladies. Do it right and well and call it what it is.

I teach. I coach. I learn all the things I don’t know how to do. I fail. I collaborate. I let myself be mentored as much as I mentor. I create content ALL THE TIME. I watch some of it REALLY work, I watch other people take it without asking, (that’s how I know it must be really good) but more often than that I watch things NOT work the way it looked in my head.

I show up. I second guess myself and then I stop that nonsense. I dream of bigger things that make other people nervous and me too. But most importantly, I support and guide other women who show up for it and ask for it.

I wish that Supporter and Guider was recognized with as much clarity as Dentist or Taco Truck Driver. Someday, because optimism feels great.

What do you do for a living? Until I find a faster and easier way to explain, I’ll be over here guiding women just like you toward being the powerful, confident being you were meant to be.
